There is no denying that this years Big Fucking Deal (BFD) 2007 at Shoreline in Mountain View, was packed with all the bands you wanted to see now! They really put their heads together over at Live 105's radio station and must have listened to not just up-and-coming local artist but the music fans as well as to who they wanted to hear. Here's some of the highlights!

Local Band Stage:
Immigrant- made their debut as the winners of the local band stage, and seemed to make an impression to the eager ears there early enough to see them. Like my friend Robbie pointed out at theowlmag.com, Lee (guitarist) had a stylish curled mushatche that put him center stage. Pirate? Eh, maybe just swashbucklin'.

Poor Bailey- of course turned it out and by the end of their set everyone seemed to be dancing the hoe-down!

Audrey Sessions-Horrary for the merge of Poor Bailey and A.S.! Scott Allbright and Travis Harris joined their talents in this set and created some great new songs, and not excluding Alicia Campbell on bass, dressed as a lil' woodland-creature with furry boots and a unique flowing dress.

On the festival stage:

Shiny Toy Guns-made the mosh pits rumble, as The
Faint, with their lead vocalist Todd Baechle, wearing an uber floppy, gardening-sun-hat,
had the crowd creating quirky dance moves never seen before, "the punch"
anyone?

On the main stage:
Queens of the Stone Age could have really benefited from listing to each other a bit more. All the sounds kind of mashed
together in a overly loud hum.

But definitely, definitely, Bloc Party, deserved to be the headliners of this move-your-body event. Lead vocalist Kele Okereke, was incredibly entertaining, with expressive body language and facial expressions reminiscent of Dresent Dolls Amanda Palmer ...I sense acting lessons in the past, and Bloc Party’s drummer Matt Tong, was equally amazing, with his talents intensely meticulous in each hit of the drum.

Quite talented-the rock stars at BFD make you remember why you sing into your hair brush in the morning!
