The Sounds That Pick Your Brain
Contessa Abono has been writing fiction, non-fiction, poetry and music lyrics since she can remember.
Her writing and photography has been featured in "Your Music Magazine," a Santa Cruz based publication.
She was the Arts/Feature editor for one semester at Los Medanos College in Pittsburg, California and later joined SF State's Golden Gate [X]Press as a multimedia producer. She currently runs the music webzine, "Soundpick.net."
In addition to writing she also plays piano, bass guitar and sings. She has played in bands including an SF Beatles cover band called "The Future Action Villains."
She graduated from San Francisco State University in Spring of 2008 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism with an emphasis on magazine writing.
She is currently working at "The Press Newspapers," and freelancing in the San Francisco Bay area.
Riki Feldmann has been studying photography since 2001.
His favorite styles include long-exposures at abandoned locations, portraiture and concert photography.
In addition to photography he is a sound engineer at Nu-Tone Studios in Pittsburg, Ca.
He is passionate about music and the people who create it. He has worked with local indie bands such as Poor Bailey, Black Roses, Judgement Day and Short Wave Radio Enthusiast.
