The release of Belle and Sebastians, ‘The Life Pursuit,’ has long been awaited. Being that this is there first cd in 3 years it was well waited on. 9 years saw fit to have an affair with this band and they still keep making more. The Feb. 7 release my seem like a while back but it is still making a smash,
The new CD contains 15 songs and to make sure you get the extra two tracks, ‘Meat and Potatoes,’ and ‘I took a long hard look,’ you must buy the album through itunes.
Belle and Sebastian were formed in an all-night café in Glasgow, January 1996. Stuart Murdoch (singer/songwriter) and Stuart David (bass guitar) were the first to make music together and from there their sound grew. The band has six members Bobby, Chris, Mick, Richard, Sarah, Stevie and Stuart and each add to one of the best albums so far in 2006.

The funky groove keyboards and 60’s inspired lyrics of song for sunshine are sure to put you into a happy mood. The track would be great for a picnic under a blue-and-white spackled sky.
‘The Act of the Apostle,’ is a two part song that carries a ragtime feel. Dealing with live, love and laugher this album has stepped up to the great buzz it has created.
‘Price of a cup of tea,’ blends flutes and fancy free lyrics about love and wisdom. As I was impressed on a whole, I was disappointed that the female vocals were left to backup as in there 1998 release, ‘The boy with the Arab Straps’ which has yet to be topped in my mind. Still I was moved by their newest go-go beat and
