These loudmouths want to give you an ear full and at their show back in Dec. when they played with hallohed and omisosa they made sure to make a hullabaloo. Just to freshen you up the band now consists of Doug - Vocals / Danny - Drums / Shawn - Bass / Err Glen, Bitch! - Guitar and last but not at all least, Robbie - Guitar. The Dot.Commies are currently working with Concubine Music Coalition/Tenstrip Records.
I hear the sound of arrows shooting at my head or is that just the garbage flying in the air. Just to let you all know in case you haven’t been to a Dot.commies show in awhile, they now have glen of hallow hed not a substitution but an addition to there already formed sound. The song, ‘echoes’ in and the misfits cords progression is distantly heard. A punk feel on the drums as the tempo keeps fast and fierce. Screaming fans singing along and the bald heads like ships crashing into rocks, whip to and fro. The vocals of symbolism hit a ultra loud panic. The ashes of disaster left behind after the first few songs were done. Then Doug so proudly yells, “girls come out and suck it!” Fuck a song, mornings subsisting then break lose young kids rocks out with air guitars. I am beginning to hear more than one scream. As Doug’s veins pop out of his neck, totally raised. “Your glasses for Mike,” says Robbie. “you guys, that boy can skate I tell you what!”
Here comes more songs. A softer melodic break goes into beasts and bashing guitars. The evening goes on. Kids with Mohawks jump around, heads bop and dancing girls shake there tail feathers. Dot.commines, comment, “fuck, that what an old one.“ A fast speed gets faster, never resting into the depths of mental folly. Open the door as Doug stands holding his crochet to dip into the jar of confidence. All that energy must makes you go crazy! As they end the set I managed to pull some kids aside. As one DVC student Jacob Crawley said “ I was Flown across the floor and into the bar supplies under the counter!“ It was crazy in there as another LMC student Tim Harting, told about the mosh pit, “My belt feel off and hit the floor in the pit!” It was a rough scene there for a minute, which is what you should expect if you venture to a one of their shows, pure punk!
