After going over Wil’s first kiss in the park ,which involved a forty or two,
I got into how the band works together making their music.
Wil-It starts with playing the guitar and having the inspiration come on. Lyrics are written way after the songs melodies are done, it’s a real organic process whatever feels right, sounds good. It has really changed a lot over the past few years.
Contessa- So when it comes to outside input how much do you really use it?
Wil-Really just when we were working on an album you take in what the producers say and they just want to cut a few things here and there.
Contessa-Everybody gets compared to other bands-it just happens when your coming into the music bizz. I’ve heard Aiden be compared to AFI, what is your response to these critics?
Wil-In response to that, thank you for actually taking the time to listen to our band. We actually don’t sound anything like AFI. I think people tend to look at a picture of a band and assume they sound like this. If we looked like Creed people would assume “Dude, they just sound like Creed.”
Contessa-What kind of atmosphere are you trying to create when your on stage, what makes you smile?
- D. - We’re completely board on stage. (laughs) We like to make it a show, we like to wear makeup, the crowd is giving us their energy and we’re just giving it back.
Nick-I think about like while I’m playing up there, what would a kid want? So, I’m always like trying to get in their face ‘cause that’s always what I like wanted when I was a kid was to feel like I was a part of the shows.

Contessa- Wait, I’m sorry there’s something going on over here….
Wil and Angel- (laughs) We’re just counting how many times Nick was saying like…
Contessa- If you weren’t in this band what would you be doing right now in life?
- D. I don’t know?! I’d probably be talking shit about this band on the internet.
- W. I think we would be in another band, we all found each other because we all share the same dream and love for music.
Wil-I would be a mortician.
Contessa- whoa
Angel- I would be an M.T.
Contessa- ha, you guys that’s almost sort of similar, you might even meet, ya know if you couldn’t save someone life or whatever…
(laughs)
Nick- I’d teach swimming lessons…
Contessa- really?
Nick-become a life guard.
Contessa-nice, well lets rap it up, in three words or less describe the feeling you get on stage, GO!
Wil- Awesome, scared, amazing
